Privacy policy
Last updated 13 October 2026
Clariffo is GST billing, inventory and accounting software provided by Clariffo. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Clariffo website and the Clariffo apps for Android and iOS, why we collect it and the choices you have.
Information you give us
- Your account: name, e-mail address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Your business data: business details, GSTIN, PAN, addresses, logo and signature, and everything you enter in the app such as invoices, quotations, parties (customers and suppliers) and their contact details, items, stock, payments, expenses, staff and attendance records, and bank details you choose to print on invoices.
- Subscription payments are handled by Razorpay. We receive the payment status and reference; we never see or store your card, UPI or bank login details.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data needed to run and protect the service: IP address, browser or app version, and the time of requests, used for security, rate limiting and troubleshooting.
- A session cookie that keeps you logged in, and a cookie that remembers that you use the app. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not show ads.
How we use information
- To provide the service: create and store your documents, keep your books, generate PDFs, reports and GST files.
- To send e-mails you ask for (for example invoices to your customers and password reset links).
- When you use Fetch details on a GSTIN, the GSTIN is sent to our GST data provider to look up the registered name and address.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations such as tax records for our own subscription invoices.
We do not sell your information or your customers' information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Sharing
Your business data is visible only to the people you add to your business. We share data only with service providers that help us run Clariffo (hosting, e-mail delivery, payment processing by Razorpay, GST data lookups), under confidentiality, or when required by law. Share links you create let anyone with the link view that one document.
Storage and security
Data is stored on our servers and protected with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, per-business access checks and optional two-step login for administrators. Backups are kept for disaster recovery and are overwritten in the normal backup cycle.
Your choices and rights
You can view, correct and export your data in the app at any time (reports, CSV, PDF and Tally exports). You can delete your business (Settings > Business settings > Delete business) or your whole account (see below).
Children
Clariffo is a business tool and is not directed at children under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date below shows the latest version; significant changes are announced in the app.
Deleting your account
In the app or on the website: open Settings → My account, scroll to Delete account, enter your password and type DELETE. (If you have not created a business yet, use the My account link on the start page.)
- Your login (name, e-mail, password) is deleted immediately.
- Businesses where you are the only member are deleted with all their data (invoices, parties, items, books and settings).
- In businesses that have other members you are removed and their data stays with them. If you are the only owner of such a business, make another member Owner / admin first.
- Our own subscription invoices and payment records for your business are kept as required by tax law (normally 8 years) and contain only the business name, plan and amounts.
